The harsh effects of climate change on zooplankton

From the session I attended this morning, it had caught me by surprise. I would have never imagined zooplankton were affected by climate change so harshly, especially being so small. The environment the sea creatures face is something important to consider because sooner or later it’s going to hit hard to the point where species become extinct and the ripple effect will continue up the food chain.

I think the science is very important to understand, it gives more of an understanding on a topic more in depth and brings education to people who are seeking solutions or technology improvement regarding oceanographic construction, it is definitely something to keep in mind on a much wider perspective.

This topic is of interest to me because I am a fisherman, I have definitely seen significant changes in the ocean, not only regarding fish, but the whole environment and ecosystem surrounded by the waterways. Science has always been an enlightening factor in learning.  It brings knowledge in a way I would never have imagined and it is interesting to understand both traditional knowledge and modern studies to create a better understanding of the world around us.  Such knowledge is beneficial to creating conclusions and making predictions on what may happen next and is very important in decision making regarding major project ideas on climate change.
