Tahnee Prior is a Ph.D. Candidate in Global Governance at the Balsillie School of International Affairs, University of Waterloo, where her research examines the role of law in maintaining or hindering resilience in social-ecological systems, like the Arctic. She is also the co-lead of “Women of the Arctic”, a non-profit organization that seeks to carve out a space for women and girls who work on or live in the Arctic to explore the roles and contributions of women to northern policy-making, research, exploration, art, activism, and daily life.
