Researcher, Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen, and Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research, Bergen, Norway

Marius is a physical oceanographer and climate scientist, specializing in the Polar Regions. He investigates ocean circulation and atmosphere-ocean interaction in the Arctic-Atlantic region, and whether associated climate and sea ice variations are predictable on interannual-to-decadal time scales. He has previously worked at the British Antarctic Survey, Cambridge, UK, focusing on ice-ocean interaction in the Weddell Sea. Marius is currently funded through a Norwegian Research Council – young research talents – grant.
