Elena Tikhonova

Minister of Economic Development of the Murmansk region

Elena Tikhonova was appointed Minister of Economic Development of the Murmansk region in 2013. As Minister she is responsible for:

  • analysis and forecasting of social and economic development of the region,
  • regional taxes and trade;
  • external economic relations, cross-border and interregional cooperation.

She joined the Ministry of Economic Development of the Murmansk region in 2009. From 2001 to 2009 she held different positions at municipal authorities in St. Petersburg and the Murmansk region.

She has a degree in banking and finance from the Moscow State Social University of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development of the Russian Federation.

A member of the United Russia Party since 2004.
