Bjarte Hoff, Associate professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, UiT The Arctic University of Norway
Bjarte Hoff is an associate professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, located on campus Narvik. He has a background as electrician, Bachelor in Maritime Electro-Automation, Master in Electrical Engineering and PhD in Electric Power Engineering. Research fields includes power electronics, energy conversion, control algorithms, smart grids and low voltage installations. Recently he was participating in a project to develop the first fully-electric working boat for the fish farming industry, GMV Zero. Current research projects includes charging technology, smart grid and smart buildings with focus on arctic challenges.
