Arve Dimmen

Director, Department for Maritime Safety, Kystverket, Norway

Mr. Arve Dimmen is the Director Maritime Safety at the Norwegian Coastal Administration. His responsibility includes the Aids to Navigation services, Vessel Traffic Services, Radionavigation systems, Marine Pilotage Authority and Port security. He is the Norwegian member of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities Council, and member of the US Space Based PNT Advisory Board.

He has a Master of Science degree in Electronics from the Technical University of Norway in Trondheim, where he specialized in radio communication and navigation. He has a background as scientist at the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment, and has extensive international experience. He has been working for the Norwegian Coastal Administration since 2006.
