Dinner reception: Arctic Ocean knowledge

Oceans hold the key to the future of all life on earth. Still, we know more about the surface of the moon than we do about our oceans! Most of the Arctic is covered by ocean. Great resources, which might solve challenges such as the need for medicine, energy and food for a growing global population, can be found in the Arctic. Despite being among the cleanest and best managed oceans in the world the Arctic Ocean is affected by global problems, such as micro plastics and acidification. How can research help fill the gaps in our knowledge about the Arctic Ocean?

Program: keynote speeches followed by a PechaKucha: Arctic Ocean

Networking at Arctic Frontiers:

Arctic Frontiers gathers political leaders, business executives and other key policymakers from all over the world and across many industries to discuss the future of the Arctic. Following the Plenary, Science programs and the side events, the delegates are offered to attend our networking receptions. The receptions keep the interaction going and continue the day's conversations in a relaxed environment. Attendees, speakers, journalists and side event organizers enjoy the opportunity to network with colleagues, and new professional connections. The Arctic Frontiers receptions provide the opportunity to share ideas, solutions and create lasting connections with our partners, speakers and conference delegates.
