Svetlana Konopleva

Norwegian Consulate General, Murmansk

Svetlana Konopleva holds a master’s degree in project management from the Murmansk State Technical University. She has also completed a course in intercultural management at the Norwegian School of Management and Norwegian language courses at the University of Bergen. In January 2014 Svetlana Konopleva started working as advisor to the consul for economic affairs at the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in Murmansk. In 2016 she stepped in the communication team of the Consulate General for a period of 6 months. During the last few years Svetlana has taken an increasingly strong interest in Arctic developments. In the summer of 2017 she attended the course “A Changing Arctic” at the University of Oslo’s summer school. She considers the promotion and strengthening of Norwegian-Russian cooperation in the Arctic to be one of the most exciting goals of her work at the Norwegian Consulate General in Murmansk. Prior to her work at the Consulate General, Svetlana worked for nearly ten years as an international project manager with both economic and socio-economic projects in the Murmansk region.
