Megan Pizzo-Lyall

Manager of Operations, Atuqtuarvik Corporation

Megan Pizzo-Lyall is the Manager of Operations for Atuqtuarvik Corporation, a financing and investment company for Inuit Owned businesses which focuses on business start-up, expansion and acquisition. She is currently based out of Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, Canada and lived in the capital of the Nunavut Territory, Iqaluit, for 10 years prior to this. Megan grew up in Taloyoak, Nunavut, a small isolated community well above the Arctic Circle with a population of 850 people. Megan is part Inuk (aboriginal Canadian) and enjoys taking part in cultural activities such as hunting, camping, fishing and sewing. Megan attended Nunavut Sivuniksavut, a program affiliated with Algonquin College, where the focus of her education was Inuit and Nunavut studies. From there, Megan graduated as co-valedictorian from the Nunavut Arctic College in Iqaluit from the Environmental Technology Program. Once she completed her education, Megan worked for Environmental and Wildlife Protection with the Department of Environment under the Government of Nunavut. Megan was with the Qikiqtani Inuit Association for 5 years in Iqaluit before moving to Rankin Inlet in her current job. Megan also sat on the Iqaluit City Council (Nunavut’s Capital City) before moving to Rankin Inlet, where she chaired the Planning and Development Committee, Co-Chaired the Economic Development Committee, Chaired the Public Safety Committee and was the City representative to the Iqaluit Search and Rescue Committee.
