Maria Høegh Berdahl (Norway)

Maria H. Berdahl holds a Master of Science in Technology from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. She majored in Environmental Physics, and wrote her thesis on pollen analysis by FTIR spectroscopy. Since 2016, she has been working at the Norwegian Space Agency, first as a trainee in Space Research, investigating the scientific benefits Norwegian space communities have experienced from ESA’s Science Programme. In 2018, Berdahl started working as an advisor within Earth Observation, mainly focusing on EU’s Copernicus Programme. She works with national user uptake of Copernicus data and is a delegate to European Copernicus fora. Her professional interests include air quality and atmospheric chemistry and the history of animals in space travel. Aside from space related topics, Berdahl has a passion for the theatre and performing arts.
