PhD Candidate, Netherlands Institute for Sea Research
I am a PhD candidate at the Netherlands Institute for Sea Research where I’m researching how sediment dynamics drive the establishment and survival of intertidal benthic communities. However, my scientific curiosity does not stop at the intertidal and I’ve studied a diverse number of topics, including trophic dynamics in Patagonian forage fish, salmon migration, and nutrient cycling in Arctic Alaska. This past summer, I investigated patterns in seaweed cover on rocky beaches in Svalbard.
I am American and Dutch and grew up in France. When I’m not having scientific adventures in the field or behind the computer, I enjoy hiking, weaving, and reading my constantly growing pile of books.‹‹ Go Back
