Geneviève Degré-Timmons

Geneviève Degré-Timmons received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology (2014) from the Université du Québec à Rimouski and a graduate diploma in Geomatics (2016) from the Université Laval. Her continued interest in Alpine, Arctic and Subarctic environments has brought her to Alberta to study caribou habitat for the Foothills Research Institute and Nunavik to provide logistical support at the Centre for Northern Studies research station. Since 2016, she has been working as a Research Technician for the Forest Ecology Research Group at the Wilfrid Laurier University. Her work focuses on understanding the recovery of post-fire caribou habitat in the Northwest Territories. She is interested in terrestrial ecology, plant-herbivore interactions, traditional ecological knowledge and spatial analysis.
