Andre Frantzen Jensen

Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, Norway

My name is André Jensen and I am a former student at UiT – The Arctic University of Norway, with a Master’s degree specialising in marine geology and geophysics. I grew up in Ramsund, which is a small town between Narvik and Harstad, and I have spent most of my life in the arctic. I have been working for the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate in Harstad for the last year where I have a wide range of tasks and responsibilities. The two main tasks consist of mapping out potential petroleum resources and working with the management plans for the Norwegian continental shelf. I am also part of the NPDs environmental team that works with emissions to sea as well as being part of several programs that monitor the conditions and activities in the ocean such as MAREANO.
