Norwegian Polar Institute, Tromsø, Norway

Currently, I am a research glaciologist at the Norwegian Polar Institute, Tromsø, looking at deriving glacier products from satellite imagery. I have a bachelor degree in Geography from the University of Edinburgh, and a master degree in Physical Polar Studies from the University of Cambridge. I graduated from the University of Copenhagen in 2015 with a PhD in Glaciology (geophysics) from the Centre for Ice and Climate, Niels Bohr Institute. My PhD thesis focused on exploring the hydrology and ice flow of Engabreen, a small valley glacier in Arctic Norway. I was born in Bern, Switzerland, and have been fascinated by all things nature, mountain and glacier from a very young age. I am fortunate enough that my job allows me to continue exploring and learning about these fascinating cryospheric environments and the role they play in our global systems.
