Nansen Early Career Award 2021

Every year, the Arctic Frontiers teams up with the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) Norway to organize a Nansen poster award for early career presenters. This year was unique. Approximately 50% of presenters at the science conference were early-career scientists, and we decided to give early-career scientists a chance to evaluate their peers’ works.

We are happy to announce the five winners of the Nansen Early Career Award this year: Emre Sari, Luisa von Albedyll, Sigfrid Kjeldaas, Matilda Hallerstig, and Masoud Naseri. Arctic Frontiers offers a free conference registration (physical or digital) at one of the upcoming Arctic Frontiers conferences (2022, 2023, or 2024). Congratulations, and we look forward to seeing the winners at future Arctic Frontiers conferences!

We thank Ariadna Szczybelski and Erin Kunisch from APECS Norway for organizing the review process and many of the early career presenters contributing to the review.
