Dr. John E. Walsh is awarded the Mohn Prize 2022

Anu Fredrikson, executive director of Arctic Frontiers, and Dag Rune Olsen, rector of UiT, signed an agreement stating that the Mohn Prize award ceremony will take place during the 2022 Arctic Frontiers Pathways conference.

The International Mohn Prize for Outstanding Research Related to the Arctic (The Mohn Prize) is organized in collaboration by Academia Borealis The Academy of Sciences and Letters of Northern Norway (NNVA), Tromsø research foundation (TFS) and UiT The Arctic University of Norway (UiT). The prize amounts to 2 million NOK, and is awarded biennially.

During the announcement ceremony, the rector of the Arctic University of Norway (UiT), Dag Rune Olsen, and the executive director of Arctic Frontiers, Anu Fredrikson, signed an agreement for collaborating on the award ceremony. The Mohn Prize award ceremony will take place at the Arctic Frontiers 2022 Pathways conference.
