Urmas Paet

Member of European Parliament, Committee for Foreign Affairs

Urmas Paet is a Member of the European Parliament and is mostly active in the Committee of Foreign Affairs and Budgets. He has held the position of a Minister of Foreign Affairs in Estonia nearly a decade before coming to Brussels and at the time he was the longest serving Foreign Minister in Europe. He is also a board member of the Estonian Reform Party. Mr. Paet was rapporteur for the European Parliament resolution of 16 March 2017 on an integrated European Union policy for the Arctic and for the European Defence Union, furthermore he has held several seminars on cyber security, UN reform and the Defence Union.
